Clear choices about your data. ## At a glance - Still processes camera video on your Mac; it does not upload your camera feed to us. - Your meeting or recording app receives video when you choose Still as its camera. - App settings and estimated step counts stay on your device. Scope and who we are This Privacy Policy covers Still’s Mac app, website, purchases, support, and related communications. “Still,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to the app’s developer and supplier, Aaron McGuire. Purchase receipts also identify the relevant seller and payment provider. Meeting apps, recording apps, Apple, payment services, and hosting providers have their own privacy practices. This policy does not replace their notices. ## 2. Local camera processing and saved data Still processes camera frames, person masks, face and pose observations, backgrounds, and stabilization locally on your Mac. The app does not upload these frames, tracking observations, or selected background media to us. Tracking is used to stabilize the picture, not to identify you. Still requests camera access and approval for its macOS camera extension. When you select Still as a camera in another app, that app can receive, transmit, or record the processed video under its own settings and privacy policy. Local processing does not make the resulting video call private from the receiving service or its participants. App preferences, estimated step totals, and the location of the last completed benchmark may be saved in local app data. Background files you choose are read locally. The current app has no advertising SDK, analytics SDK, crash-reporting SDK, or user-account system. If you deliberately start a benchmark recording, Still writes raw camera video, processed video, a background image, and technical diagnostics and metadata to a local benchmark folder. These files can contain you and your surroundings. They are not automatically uploaded. You control whether to export or share them. Saved recordings can remain in Still’s Application Support/Benchmarks folder as well as any location to which you export them; deleting the app alone may not remove this data. You can revoke camera access in macOS, stop the camera in Still, and delete saved benchmarks, exported files, and local preferences through macOS. Step totals are estimates for the app’s display, not a health record or medical measurement. ## 3. Website requests and providers The website at walkwithstill.com is hosted on Vercel. Our earlier chatgpt.site address is hosted through OpenAI Sites. The hosting infrastructure may process IP address, browser and device information, requested pages, referrers, timestamps, diagnostics, and security logs to deliver and protect the website. While the site is an access-restricted preview, the host may also process account and sign-in information needed to control access. The site loads typefaces from Google Fonts. Those font requests disclose ordinary request information, such as your IP address and browser information, to Google. See Google Fonts’ privacy information (https://developers.google.com/fonts/faq/privacy). Still has not added advertising pixels, analytics, a mailing-list signup form, or a visitor counter to this site. Playing the lifestyle video requests a video file from the website’s hosting infrastructure. It does not grant this website access to your camera. Hosting and other providers’ own privacy notices apply to their services. ## 4. Checkout, orders, support, and email Lemon Squeezy handles checkout as merchant of record. It collects the details needed for payment, tax, fraud prevention, receipts, refunds, and secure delivery. Still may receive order information such as purchaser name, email address, product, order status, license or delivery information, country, and transaction identifiers. We do not receive your complete payment-card number. We use order and support information to provide the app, verify purchases, respond to requests, prevent abuse, issue refunds, maintain business records, and comply with law. Marketing messages are sent only where permitted and must include an unsubscribe method. Transactional messages about an order, security, or material service changes may still be sent. Information available to us depends on the purchase channel and any information you choose to provide for support. We do not receive your full payment-card details. ## 5. Information you choose to send If you contact us or send feedback, we receive what you choose to include, such as your contact details, order reference, issue description, and attachments. You do not need to send camera footage to make a refund request. Only share benchmark recordings or diagnostics if you want us to review them. Check recordings for other people, private surroundings, or sensitive information before sharing. We use support materials to respond to and investigate your request; sending them does not grant permission to publish your image or use it in marketing. Do not send passwords, full card numbers, government identifiers, or unrelated sensitive information. ## 6. How we use and disclose information We use information only as reasonably necessary to: - provide, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the app and website; - fulfill orders, support customers, process refunds, and prevent fraud; - communicate about purchases, support, security, and material policy changes; - comply with law, enforce our agreements, and protect users, the public, and our rights; and - complete a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate safeguards. We may disclose limited information to service providers such as our website and support providers, Lemon Squeezy, and Apple where applicable, professional advisers, authorities when legally required, or a successor in a business transaction. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. ## 7. Legal bases, retention, and security Where a legal basis is required, we process information to perform a contract, comply with law, pursue legitimate interests such as security and support, or based on consent. You may withdraw consent for future processing where consent is the basis. We retain information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described, including support, fraud prevention, tax and accounting obligations, dispute resolution, and enforcement. Local app data remains on your device until you remove it. Hosting-provider and merchant records are subject to the provider’s retention practices and applicable legal obligations. No system, transmission, or storage method is guaranteed to be completely secure. ## 8. Your privacy choices and rights Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, objection, or information about disclosures; to withdraw consent; to appeal a denied request; and to complain to a privacy regulator. We may need to verify your identity and authority before acting. Authorized agents may need to provide proof of authorization. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We will not discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using their unsubscribe method; transactional or security messages may still be sent. We cannot remotely access or delete camera recordings and other data that remain only on your Mac. You control those files.
