Set up Still
- Open Still on a Mac running macOS 14 or later.
- Allow camera access when macOS asks.
- Use Still’s Camera settings to enable the camera extension. Follow the macOS approval instructions.
- Choose your physical camera and a scene in Still, then start smoothing.
- Restart your meeting app if it was already open. Choose “Still” in its camera menu.
Still is currently in development. Purchase links will be available at launch.
If something isn’t working
Still isn’t listed as a camera: check the setup checklist in Camera settings. Confirm that the camera extension is enabled, then restart the meeting app.
The video is black: make sure the physical camera works in Still and that camera access is allowed in macOS System Settings. Use “Repair or update camera” in Still’s camera setup if the extension needs refreshing.
The preview says “Not stabilized”: follow its instruction to choose a scene or return to view. Keep your face and upper body visible with even lighting.
The picture needs adjustment: use Recenter, adjust smoothing strength, and compare the original camera with the processed video.
